Wine Event : Harry's Wine Fair 2009 - Millenia Walk 28th March 2009

The nice people at Harry's contacted me on this upcoming event at their outlet at Millenia Walk on the 28th March 2009 from 5pm to 10pm. There is sampling of wines from around the world and the opportunity to buy top rated wines at attractive prices.

Food is also available in the form of a buffet that will complement the wines.

Pre-purchase tickets at any Harry's bar is S$40, and tickets at the door on the day of the event is S$50. Citibank Credit Card users get a 15% discount off the ticket prices.

Wine Fair : Carrefour wine fair 3 Mar - 15 Mar

Carrefour held it's wine fair at the Plaza Singapura atrium from the 3 Mar - 15 Mar. I just managed to catch the last day at the fair. Cornerstone Cellars were there promoting their range of wines. The number of french wines from the 2005 has been declining as expected, though there were still many bottles of La Tour Carnets.

Cloudline Oregon Pinot Noir 2007 (USA)

Heard about the exquisite nature of Oregon Pinots, so I bought a bottle to try.
Light pale violet in the glass

Smell : Gentle delicate raspberry with touch of spice.

Taste : Addictive infusion of herbs, raspberry, strawberry mixture.

After taste : Fair comfortable length with some tannins.
