Wine Entry : Chateau Haut Pick Sauternes 2004 (French)
-
Got this bottle at the Carrefour wine fair, felt it was a steal for a 750ml bottle at a reasonable price of $29 only. However, comparing it with the rest of the classified growths of Sauternes, it is still enjoyable to drink but pales in intensity and flavour.
Smell : Fruit ripen citrus lemon, some coying honey
Taste : Almost like a light orange-lemon juice. Touch of sweetness, lower viscosity than a "normal" sauternes, but nonetheless enjoyable.
After-Taste : Missing the syrup-like thickness. Qiuck fast finish.
