Wine Entry : Sauternes Maison Johane’s Boubee Reserve 2004 (French)

-
Got this bottle of wine from the Carrefour wine fair, and we opened it during the Christmas celebrations together with the Champagne. It has a golden straw clear colour and costs S$32.50.
I was probably attached to the label since it had a motif of a lion, since now is the Chronicles of Nardia hype. Quite a delightful sweet dessert wine to drink from the Sauternes region, but somewhat lacking in the complexity and fullness.
Smell : Sweet sea smell with faint lychee-apricot aromas.
Taste : Sweet light and refreshing similar to lemon-orange jam/marmalade.
After-taste : A slightly bitter orange peel finish.
